一、什么叫慰问信：
慰问信是表示向对方(一般是同级、或上级对下级单位、个人)关怀、慰问的信函。它是有关机关或者个人，以组织或个人的名义在他人处于特殊的情况下 (如战争、自然灾害、事故)，或在节假日，向对方表示问候、关心的应用文。慰问信包括两种：一种是表示同情安慰;另一种是在节日表示问候。信应写得态度诚恳、真切。
二、慰问信的格式
1、标题：置于第一行，居中写“慰问信”或“XXX致XXX的慰问信”，字体要大一些
2、称谓：写慰问信的单位名称或个人的称呼。如果是写给个人的，应在姓名之后加上“同志”、“先生”、“女士”、“小姐”等字样。顶格书写，后加冒号。
正文：另起一行，空两格写慰问信的内容，分段写以下几个方面：
(1)写慰问信的背景、原因，或是因为对方在某某工作中取得了成绩，或是因为对方遭到了暂时的困难或是挫折，或是因为某人因公负伤或因公殉职对本人或亲属的慰问aka是对亲友的病痛、节日的慰问。
(2)叙述事实。应全面、具体地叙述对方的模范事迹或遇到的困难，要实事求是地肯定其成绩，然后向对方表示慰问和学习。
3、结语：先结合形势与任务提出殷切的希望，接着表示共同的愿望和决心，最后用一句慰问和祝愿的话作结语。另起一行，顶格写祝福的话，如：祝早日 康复、祝节日快乐、祝取得更大的成绩、敬礼等等。
